President Donald Trump’s spiritual adviser, Paula White, said Monday on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” that the president “put prayer back into the White House.”

“Isn’t it nice to be able to say Merry Christmas, and to put Jesus Christ back on the White House lawn?” White asked.

“[Trump] is a man of faith, he is a believer, he’s spiritual,” White added. “Trump just hasn’t put Christ back in Christmas, but he’s also put prayer back into the White House. He’s put justice…and religious freedom back into our courts.”

On Christmas Day, Trump congratulated himself for having “led the charge against the assault” on the phrase “Merry Christmas.”

Trump frequently accused his predecessor, President Barack Obama, of not using the phrase during the holiday season. In fact, Obama did use the phrase “Merry Christmas” many times during his two terms, as shown by MSNBC.
