Arutz Sheva | Holocaust survivor(90) at Western Wall for first time

Avraham Takach, a 90-year-old Holocaust survivor from Donetzk, Ukraine arrived in Israel in 2014 as a refugee from the fighting taking place in the region, together with his two daughters and grandchildren.

On Monday he came to the Western Wall for the first time in his life. His daughter contacted the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews(IFCJ) and asked for help in bringing Takach to the Western Wall and fulfilling his lifelong dream. The IFCJ provided transportation for the elderly man as well as a wheelchair.

Takach said that “this is a great merit for me to pray at the holiest place for the Jewish people. Until now I only knew the place from pictures and the television and finally I have reached it in person.”
