Liberty University | PR exec, MMA champion, and NFL star to be featured in upcoming Convocations

Next week’s Liberty University Convocationlineup will include an advocate for persecuted Christians, a former Force Recon Marine and martial arts celebrity, and a professional football player.

On Monday, Nov. 6, founder and CEO of the Kairos Company Johnnie Moore will speak in Convocation. Moore spent several years early in his career working at Liberty, most recently serving as senior vice president of communications. He was recruited by Emmy award-winning producer Mark Burnett to work as the chief of staff and vice president of Faith Content for United Artists Media Group. Moore has made several appearances on national news, most notably as an advocate for the persecuted church, and his opinion columns have appeared in The Washington Post, Fox News, Relevant Magazine, and CNN.

Students will hear from Former Force Recon Marine and pro-mixed martial arts (MMA) champion Chad Robichaux on Wednesday, Nov. 8. Robichaux will share his testimony of a life committed to Christ and life in the military as part of the university’s annual Military Emphasis Week.

On Friday, Nov. 10, Baltimore Ravens tight end Ben Watson will be the featured Convocation guest for College For A Weekend. Watson, the author of “Under My Skin,” will take part in a Q & A panel, inspiring unity in the midst of widespread division.
