NRB | AFA Journal Salutes Top 40 People Committed to Faith, Freedom, and Family

In celebration of the American Family Association’s 40th anniversary, the organization’s flagship magazine, AFA Journal, has turned the spotlight on 40 Christ followers who are faithfully serving today as salt and light in areas that have an impact on families in America.

“It was not easy to narrow the list down to 40 faithful, and in our hearts, these featured few represent all of you faithful supporters and friends of AFA,” AFA JournalEditor Randall Murphree wrote in his introduction to the 40-person list, which appeared in the publication’s July/August issue.

Murphree noted that the numbering in the list does not indicate a ranking, and that the list is focused on those who are living and serving today.

“While many noteworthy leaders in the Christian community have gone on to glory in the past four decades, you won’t see them on these pages,” he wrote. “Certainly it is fitting to remember them with gratitude, but we decided to focus on 40 who are still living and serving for the good of the Kingdom of God and for the future of our republic.”

Among those listed are several NRB members including Dr. Ted Baehr of Movieguide®, Dr. James Dobson of Family Talk, Dr. Michael Farris of Alliance Defending Freedom, California church pastor Dr. Jim Garlow, Ken Ham of Answers In Genesis, youth mentor and leader Mark Hancock, Dr. Alveda King and Fr. Frank Pavone of Priests for Life, and columnist and political commentator Star Parker.
