Martinsville Bulletin | Got’s Pit Crew sending help to Guatemala after volcano eruption

God’s Pit Crew — a Danville-based disaster relief organization — is working with international partners to help people impacted after the eruption of Guatemala’s Fuego volcano this week.

The group is planning to ship containers filled with nearly 3,000 of its signature Blessing Buckets containing everyday items like toothpaste, soap and shampoo.

This marks the second time this year God’s Pit Crew has sent a bucket shipment to Guatemala, according to a news release.

In April, the organizations partnered with World Help to ship its first international humanitarian Blessing Buckets to the jungle communities in Guatemala.

Also this week, God’s Pit Crew sent a truckload of supplies to after the flooding in Ellicott City, Maryland.

After sending the shipment out this week, the Blessing Bucket supply for God’s Pit Crew will be depleted, however the organization plans a drive for collecting donations later this month.
