Steve Schildwachter is responsible for strategy, execution and results concerning marketing, advertising, public relations, social media, internal communications and exhibit design. He is a member of the museum’s Executive Leadership Team.
Previously, Steve was Chief Marketing Officer at BrightStar Care, a national home health care franchise, where he raised brand awareness from #10 to #3 and accelerated consumer inquiries for service via an innovative combination of online and offline media, establishing a consistent brand voice. Steve also served as Chief Marketing Officer at rVue, Inc., and was Executive Vice President at global advertising agency Foote, Cone & Belding.
Steve was named an Agency Innovator by The Internationalist magazine. He also served as President of the Board of Directors of Chicago Ballet Arts and coached 14U, 13U and 12U travel baseball.
Steve and his wife Charlene homeschool their five children. He has a B.A. in English from College of the Holy Cross, Worcester, Massachusetts.
