Biography | Michael Neale

There’s a statement by Michael Neale on his personal website that is incredibly telling and yet wonderfully succinct: “Songs and stories. That’s how God’s been using me. That’s who I am.”

Michael is a gifted singer and songwriter, a powerful communicator, a featured leader and teacher at conferences all over the country and a best-selling author. Above all, he’s an anointed worship leader.

Michael joined Prestonwood in August of 2015 as Senior Worship Leader—leading worship at the Plano Campus and giving oversight to the entire worship staff across the three campuses.

Michael is no stranger to Prestonwood as he has led our Men’s Conference the past few years and has been a vital part of our worship team on a part-time basis the past year.

A Dove Award-winning songwriter, more than 100 of Michael’s songs are sung in churches around the world. Some of his writing credits include “Your Great Name,” “Mercy Tree” and “Gloria.” He has penned songs recorded by artists such as Michael W. Smith; Natalie Grant; Charles Billingsley; Todd Agnew; Phillips, Craig & Dean; Anthony Evans, Jr.; Shane & Shane; Lacey Sturm and others.
