[Release] My Faith Votes targets 72 million Christians unlikely to vote on Nov. 5 with new voting tool

DALLAS — My Faith Votes has made available an incredible free tool to inform voters ahead of 49,000 elections scheduled before the end of 2019. In November alone 36 states will be conducting elections, the bulk of which are scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 5.

The Voting Assistance Center available on My Faith Votes’ website is a one-stop-shop of voting resources for people in any U.S. state to get ready to vote. The tool allows users to:

– Find out when state-wide elections are being held and sign up for voting                   reminders
– Learn what measures and offices are on the ballot
– Register to vote and check deadlines
– Apply for absentee ballots
– View a full sample ballot
– Locate polling places
– View party/candidate platforms

The Voting Assistance Center is available to all voters, but My Faith Votes sees the tool as necessary to its core mission to mobilize Christians to participate in elections.

“Our goal for this tool is to motivate and equip millions of the nearly 72 million Christians who do not vote in local elections to get out and vote,” says Jason Yates, CEO of My Faith Votes. “Christians have the opportunity with every election to influence our communities, states and country with our biblical values, so why wouldn’t a Christian vote?”

The Voting Assistance Center, he adds, “makes the entire process easy and provides so much information, there really is no excuse for anyone not to vote.”
