Bloomberg: Carson Becomes Head of My Faith Votes Group

Ben Carson, who has ceased campaigning for the GOP presidential nomination, is the new chairman of My Faith Votes, a group focused on spurring election turnout by Christians, Politico reports.

  • Carson will announce his new post today in speech at Conservative Political Action Conference just outside Washington
  • Carson, according to Politico, says in statement: “Nothing is more important to me than my personal faith, and it is my faith that motivated me to be involved in the political process to begin with”
  • NOTE: Carson said Wed. he didn’t see path forward for his presidential bid and that he would make “full announcement” on his next step in CPAC speech
