Drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman is receiving some much needed help after he tunneled out of prison last July.
Guzman has started to read the Spanish-translation of Rick Warren’s “The Purpose Driven Life: What on Earth Am I Here for?”, along with other novels.
He no longer has a television, but gets free reading material.
Guzman has also read the classic Don Quijote since being brought back to Altiplano prison west of Mexico City, an official told the Associated Press.
Andrew Chesnut, professor of Religious Studies at Virginia Commonwealth University and a specialist in Latin American religion, recently tweeted saying Guzman’s mother is Pentecostal, reports The Christian Post.
