Fox News | Pastor Offers On-Air Prayer for National Day of Prayer

Pastor Ronnie Floyd offered a prayer on air for the national day of prayer on Sunday.

“Father I ask in the name of Jesus today that you would place upon the United States of America, the people of southeast Texas, and the people of Louisiana a spirit of hope and grace and power.”

“I pray that we might find our faith and hope and trust and future in the Lord Jesus Christ. And I pray for our president and the leaders of our country. Give them boldness, wisdom and courage, and we pray grace upon this hour in Jesus’ name, amen,” Dr. Floyd, senior pastor of Cross Church, prayed on-air.

President Trump declared Sunday, September 3 a national day of prayer for those affected by the storm that slammed southeast Texas.

Floyd also answered “Fox & Friends'” question about what a good prayer might be.

“I think a prayer would be uttering from your mouth the words that are in your heart saying, ‘Dear God, I don’t know necessarily at times what to pray, but I just ask you to be with us today,'” Dr. Floyd, senior pastor of Cross Church said.
