[Media Alert] Rev. Rodriguez to Meet with Puerto Rican Gov. Ricardo Rosselló to Discuss Pending Religious Liberty Legislation, Survey Status of Hurricane Maria Relief Efforts

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – The only Puerto Rican American representative on President Trump’s informal Faith Advisory Board, president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, Rev. Samuel Rodriguez, will visit the island of Puerto Rico next week. His agenda will include a scheduled meeting with Gov. Ricardo Rosselló to discuss issues surrounding religious liberty which has drawn heavy criticism from many within the faith community on the island. Rev. Rodriguez will also meet with local church leaders to survey the humanitarian progress that remains ongoing 16 months after the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria, some of which remains under the direction of the U.S. government.

From San Juan, Rev. Rodriguez will be available to provide updates on the status of legislation critical to religious liberty on the island of Puerto Rico following his meeting with Gov. Ricardo Rosselló.
