Newsmax | Conservative PragerU Says Twitter Censoring Its Ads

PragerU, a non-profit conservative digital media organization that creates videos on various issues, has been banned from promoting posts on Twitter, and the company is claiming the social media site is doing so to censor conservatives.

Twitter sent PragerU an email notification more than two weeks ago that said: “@prageru, your account is ineligible to participate in Twitter Ads. This determination is based on the following Twitter Ads policy: Inappropriate Content.”

When PragerU attempted to reply, Twitter sent an auto-response that said the email address it had responded to was unmonitored.

“It’s all very arbitrary, mysterious, and impersonal,” said Craig Strazzeri, CMO of PragerU in a statement.

“We’ve tried to get to the bottom of this, but Twitter has yet to allow us to speak with a real live human being, or explained how we can avoid this problem in the future. For Twitter to suggest that PragerU is somehow engaged in intentionally inappropriate behavior is laughable.

“Our content is expressly PG, features some of the finest minds in the world, and is produced so that it’s suitable for all ages. You don’t have to look very far for R-rated content on Twitter. In fact, one of the few places you won’t find it is on PragerU’s page. The whole ordeal smacks of big-tech’s censorship of conservatives.”

It is not the first time PragerU is claiming it has been censored.

The organization in October filed a lawsuit against Google for violating the First Amendment by restricting or “demonizing” its videos on YouTube, or censoring free speech. Many of PragerU’s videos were placed in “restricted mode” by YouTube, making the media unavailable in schools and libraries.
