NRB | Museum of the Bible Seeks Volunteers as Opening Day Draws Near

Museum of the Bible is accepting applications from all those in the greater Washington, D.C., area, ages 18 and up, who are aligned with its mission to “invite all people to engage with the Bible.”

Service areas of interest include: Public Galleries, Information Desk, Theater Ushers, Group Greeters, Special Events, and Educational Presenter.

Among the requirements are a minimum one-year volunteer service commitment, ability to stand for a minimum of 4.5 hours with minimal assistance, and ability to complete basic three-day training.

The schedule consists of 4.5 hour shifts available weekdays, weekends, and evenings, with a minimum of nine hours per month.

Those who volunteer will be eligible for a number of benefits, including (but not limited to) an increase in knowledge of the history, impact, and narratives of the Bible; the opportunity to interact regularly with a diverse group of people from around the world; various discounts; and potential volunteer tax deductions.

To be considered, complete the online application at museumofthebible.org/volunteer. If volunteer spaces are available, the museum will contact prospective volunteers for an interview. All volunteers must successfully complete a thorough background check.

The Museum of the Bible – the Platinum Sponsor for Proclaim 18, the NRB International Christian Media Convention in Nashville, Tennessee – opens its doors in Washington this November.
