One News Now | Google – the master manipulator of millions of votes

Google was on the hot seat at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Tuesday. Republicans wanted answers on why the tech giant is censoring conservatives – but what came out of the hearing was far more sinister and dangerous than that.

Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) led the charge, alleging that Google – which runs its search engine and owns YouTube and Android – is manipulating search results to lead users to liberal sites.

“Every time we search on Google, we see only the web pages that Google decides we should see, in the order that Google decides we should see it,” the senator described. “Type a few letters into the search bar and Google will tell you what you should be looking for.”

Talk-show host Dennis Prager said he and his Prager U have had several videos censored by YouTube for no reason that he can figure.

“Google has even restricted access to a video on the Ten Commandments – yes, the Ten Commandments,” he testified. “We have repeatedly asked Google why our videos are restricted; no explanation is ever given. But of course, we know why: because they come from a conservative perspective.”

Later in the hearing, Senator Cruz asked Google’s vice president of government affairs Karan Bhatia about that:

Cruz: “Is it your view that somehow Mr. Prager is somehow disseminating dangerous ideas or ideas that fit into the buckets you were talking about of violent extremism or hate speech?”

Bhatia: “No, senator. We do have a very small percent of our subscribers who opt for what we call ‘restricted’ mode – churches or perhaps schools.”

But it was social psychologist and AI specialist Dr. Robert Epstein who dropped a bombshell late in the hearing. His research found that in 2016, Google manipulated two or three million votes in Hillary Clinton’s direction – and in 2018, the vote total for Democrats was even larger.

“In 2020, if all these companies are supporting the same candidate, there are 15 million votes on the line that can be shifted without people’s knowledge and without leaving a paper trail for authorities to trace,” he stated.

Epstein, who is a Democrat and was a Hillary Clinton supporter, told Fox News’ Tucker Carlson last month that it’s “very likely” that Google and similar companies like Facebook will work together in 2020 to support the same presidential candidate.

“… Google not only has the power to shift opinions and votes on a massive scale, but they exercise this power,” the researcher told Carlson. “[And] it’s not ‘hacking an election’ right now because [those companies] are completely unregulated in the United States.”
