The Dallas Morning News | Prestonwood aims to help children at the border

Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano saw the plight of  children separated from their parents at the border and decided to help. The church has launched a campaign to gather funds to spend on behalf of the children being cared for at the border or in any of the longer-term facilities across the country run by federal contractors. Just exactly how the church will spend the funds was still in flux late this week. But as spokesman Johnnie Moore said Wednesday, “Prestonwood is looking to help where it is needed the most and with absolutely no strings attached.” The church’s efforts got a big boost when Ivanka Trump heard of the campaign and immediately announced she’d donate  $50.000. We’re looking forward to seeing the good the church can do.
