Grand opening of the Museum of the Bible: Washington’s newest museum is a $500 million, 430,000-square-foot facility telling the story of the Bible, using recreations of ancient villages, immersive films, theme park-style rides and a garden of biblical plants. All time-entry tickets for opening weekend have been reserved, but the museum will allow a limited number of walk-up admissions. 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Free; suggested donation $10-$15.
