WSET | Forest-based World Help aids Syria chemical attack victims, looks for donations

FOREST, Va. (WSET) –A local organization known for its Christian humanitarian efforts is already lending a major hand in Syria, and they’re asking for your help.

Organizers at World Help, based in Forest, said they exist just for a crisis like the recent chemical attack in Syria, which has killed dozens and affected hundreds of people.

World Help is partnering now with other groups in Syria now, treating victims and providing food, medicine, water and other necessities, helping as many as possible.

Countless women and children were among those affected, with many families fleeing the area.

Organizers said every dollar counts toward the effort.

“It’s unacceptable for us to sit back and say that is so terrible and then do nothing about it. So, I want to encourage everyone to do at least $35 to save one life.” said World Help Founder and CEO Vernon Brewer.
