‘Otto’s Tales: Today is September 11th’ debuts on the heels of series’ first storybook, a #1 Amazon bestseller in children’s categories
LOS ANGELES — Ahead of the twentieth remembrance of the September 11th attacks on America by terrorists, PragerU debuts “Otto’s Tales: Today is September 11th.” The storybook releases just months after the first installment in the series, which quickly became a #1 Amazon bestseller in children’s categories. “We must help our children learn the reality – in an age appropriate way – of what happened that dark day twenty years ago,” said Marissa Streit, PragerU CEO. “‘Otto’s Tales’ gives children the truth but focuses on the shining examples of heroism, strength and unity displayed by Americans of all backgrounds in response.” Director of Outreach for PragerU Kids, Jill Simonian, said, “So many American parents don’t know how to discuss what happened on 9/11 with their children. PragerU has provided a solution to millions of parents who realize the value of teaching the next generation about this important moment in America’s history.” Characters Dennis and Otto travel back in time to September 11, 2001, and witness the terrorist attacks in New York City. They watch as the very best of America outshone evil: first responders risking everything to save others, government leaders consoling the nation, the nation uniting together – people from every walk of life – to help each other, comfort each other and find healing. “Otto’s Tales: Today is September 11th” is the second installment in PragerU’s new series of illustrated children’s books that teaches children ages 3 to 8 traditional American values through the rambunctious adventures of young Dennis Prager and his trusty sidekick, Otto the bulldog. “Otto’s Tales” are part of PragerU’s K-12th grade educational initiative. The storybook series offers families creative ways to pass on important values to their young children through American holidays and traditions. Examples of holidays and values taught in “Otto’s Tales” include:
