LOS ANGELES — Rebecca Friedrichs, the public-school teacher who fought all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court to end forced unionism, will address the 10th Annual American Federation for Children National Policy Summit. U.S. Education Secretary Betsy DeVos is also slated to speak to the gathering of policymakers, educational choice advocates and leading business and media figures.

Rebecca Friedrichs is the founder of For Kids & Country and a 28-year public school teacher who led the fight against the divisive tactics, politics and corruption of teachers’ unions as lead plaintiff in Friedrichs v CTA. Her U.S. Supreme Court case paved the way for a precedent-setting ruling which freed all public sector employees from forced unionism.
