[Media Advisory] World Help President Vernon Brewer to Give Update on Refugees in the Middle East, Monday, Dec. 4

Dec. 4, 2017

FOREST, Va. — World Help President and Founder Vernon Brewer will give an update on the state of refugees in the Middle East via a conference call tonight, Monday, Dec. 4, at 8 p.m. EST.

Brewer recently returned from visiting refugee camps near the Syrian border, where he and a World Help team distributed food and winter supplies, such as blankets and heaters, to refugee families.

Brewer also visited a vocational school which provides refugee women the opportunity to learn English and sewing skills and surveyed a clinic near the Syrian border which treats 3,000 patients every month. World Help is providing medications for the clinic.

During the call, Brewer will share stories of refugee families who’ve fled war, terror and, oftentimes, persecution because of their Christian faith. He’ll share how the American church can pray for and help refugees in the Middle East experience Christmas this holiday season.

Call-in details follow. Please notify World Help you’ll be attending the conference call by emailing Allyn Lyttle at (allynlyttle@worldhelp.net).
