FOREST, Va.—World Help’s Children of the World International Children’s Choir recently completed its 2016–2017 “Rescue Tour,” covering more than 30,000 miles across 30 states. The young singers performed for an estimated total of 35,000 people in 128 venues.
Through song, dance, spoken word and creative media, the “Rescue Tour” raised awareness about the health, educational and financial struggles faced by millions of orphaned and disadvantaged children in impoverished communities around the world. At each concert, the audience was given the opportunity to support these challenges through World Help’s Child Sponsorship program and community empowerment initiatives.
By the end of the tour, the lives of more than 800 children — and their families and communities — were impacted through the generosity of new child sponsors.

The choir for the 2016–2017 tour included children from World Help’s Child Sponsorship programs in Uganda, Nepal, Honduras and the Philippines. The 2017–2018 tour will kickoff Sunday, Aug. 27, at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Naruna, Virginia.
