[Release] Dr. David Jeremiah Issues Statement in Support of Those Impacted by the Disastrous California Wildfires

Nov. 14, 2018

EL CAJON, Calif. — Pastor, Bible teacher, New York Times bestselling author and nationally syndicated TV and radio host, Dr. David Jeremiah releases the following statement in response to the wildfires, the deadliest in California history that have left over 31 people dead caused over 250,000 people to flee their homes:

“I’ve been privileged to call California my home for over 37 years. I know firsthand the beauty of the land, the harshness at times of the climate, and the resilience of the people. That’s why I’m heartbroken at the death, desolation, and disruption caused by these latest fires to rage through our state. Together with all of us at Shadow Mountain Community Church, I pray for the safety of the residents in harm’s way, those risking their lives to fight the fires, for the healing of those recovering in hospitals, and for the recovery of those whose homes and ways of life have been stolen by the fires. And in the words of the Apostle Paul, I pray for all the victims that they will experience the nearness of “the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all of our troubles.”
