PLANO, Texas — Jack Graham, pastor of Prestonwood Baptist Church, releases the following statement calling Christians to pray for the families and loved ones of the victims of yesterday’s attack in Manhattan.
“My heart is devastated for the eight innocent people who lost their lives and the dozen others who were injured last night to a senseless act of terror in Manhattan. I grieve for their families and loved ones, who are equally victims of this attack and whose pain we can only begin to fathom. As Christians, we cannot forget them. We must pray zealously for the peace and comfort they so desperately need and which can only come from God.
“I also want to call Christians to pray for the president and his staff and for the leaders and first responders of New York City. Let’s pray they have the strength and resolve to lead our country through this time of tragedy and to pursue justice for the victims of this attack, their families and the American people.”
