DALLAS — Senior Pastor Robert Jeffress and First Baptist Dallas are gearing up for a weekend of holiday celebration with their annual “A Night of Christmas” performance. The combination of inspiring music, theatrical production and aerial performances will provoke imagination and nostalgia as it artfully tells the Christmas story. Performances are Saturday, Dec. 9, at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 10, at 6 p.m, and great tickets are still available.
Over 600 people in the First Baptist Dallas family will be participating in “A Night of Christmas,” including the First Baptist 250 voice Celebration Choir and its 50 member full symphony orchestra. These volunteer member musicians, who have spent four months in preparation, will be joined by acrobats, dancers, aerialists and a live drum band to complete the holiday extravaganza.
“‘A Night of Christmas’ is bigger and better than ever before,” said Dr. Doran Bugg, Minister of Music and Worship at First Baptist Dallas. “It is an annual presentation, but this year all the content is brand-new.”
The spectacular will be held indoors and include attractions such as life-size snowmen, kite-flying and sleigh rides. First Baptist Dallas employs new and exciting experiences with every holiday presentation, such as live nativities, ballet performances and award-winning Christian artists, as featured previously.
“Every year, First Baptist Dallas intentionally designs each Christmas experience to point the audience to the Gospel message of Jesus’ birth,” said Dr. Robert Jeffress.
“Christmas is so much about the traditions we look forward to, but the true meaning of the season is the celebration of God sending his son Jesus to be born as the Savior of the world,” explains Bugg. “We want people to ground this season in its true meaning.”
At this evening’s dress rehearsal, the church is hosting over 600 underprivileged children for a free viewing of “A Night of Christmas.” The kids will also receive a free meal and a free copy of Dr. Jeffress’ children’s book, The Gift: The Gospel for Children.
The mission of First Baptist Dallas is to “transform our world with God’s Word…one life at a time.” This thriving community of 13,000 members is led by Senior Pastor Dr. Robert Jeffress.
