[Release] First Baptist Dallas to Celebrate ‘Marvelous Meaning’ of Christmas with Services Sunday Morning and Christmas Eve

Dec. 21, 2018

DALLAS — While some churches have canceled Sunday services to hold only a Christmas Eve service, First Baptist Dallas will offer two opportunities this year for families to celebrate Christmas together on both Sunday morning and Christmas Eve.

Sunday morning, Dec. 23, church doors are open for services at 9:15 or 10:50 a.m. CT. Senior Pastor Robert Jeffress will deliver a special Christmas message titled “Wise Men Still Seek Him.” First Baptist’s 250 voice Celebration choir and orchestra will lead the congregation in singing traditional Christmas carols and will perform a spectacular Christmas medley.

Families and friends are invited to the Christmas Eve Candlelight Service Monday, Dec. 24 at 5:30 p.m. The choir and orchestra will lead the congregation in singing joyful Christmas favorites. During the service, children are invited to come forward and gather around as Pastor Jeffress shares the Christmas story. Worship will continue through the observance of the Lord’s Supper and will conclude with a candlelight exit to prepare hearts to commemorate the birth of the Savior Jesus Christ, on Christmas day. The candlelight service is unticketed, completely free and open to the public.

“Our Christmas services are unique opportunities for families to step out of the frenzy of the holiday season and refocus on the marvelous meaning of Christmas,” Jeffress remarked, adding, “that God himself would come to Earth as a humble child in order to live, die and rise from the dead to offer us salvation.”

Both services can be watched online via the First Baptist Dallas website.
