DALLAS — Jason Yates, CEO of My Faith Votes, releases the following statement in recognition of Martin Luther King Jr. Day:

“My Faith Votes believes the best way for people to honor MLK’s legacy is to emulate his life: fight relentlessly in a bipartisan way for justice and to finish the march toward civil rights. With a burning, righteous conviction King called America to account for centuries-old systems of abuse, racism and inequality. Faith undergirded and amplified his prophetic voice as he bid Americans of every faith, color, stripe and creed to walk shoulder-to-shoulder into a promised land of unity.”

Jason Yates is CEO of My Faith Votes, a nonpartisan movement that motivates, equips and activates Christians in America to vote in every election, transforming our communities and influencing our nation with biblical truth. By partnering with national faith leaders, My Faith Votes provides resources to help Christians Pray, Think, and Act to create an America where God is honored in the public square. Gov. Mike Huckabee serves as the organization’s honorary national chairman.
