GAINESVILLE, Ga. – On the passing of evangelist Morris Cerullo, Jentezen Franklin issues the following statement:
“I was saddened to hear about the passing of Dr. Morris Cerullo, one of the generals of the faith and a spiritual father to hundreds of thousands. His career is truly one for the record books with outreaches on 6 continents and 150 nations while authoring more than 200 Christian resources which included books, study Bibles and devotionals in just over 72 years of ministry.
On a personal level, I have had the honor and privilege of preaching for Dr. Cerullo on several occasions and I was always struck by his kindness and gentle spirit. His work will live on in the Legacy International Center he built on 18 acres in San Diego, California and the Inspiration Network owned by his son David. But perhaps his greatest achievement was found in the more than 5 million Christian ministers he trained face-to-face over the course of his ministry. He will surely be missed, but his impact on the kingdom will be felt for generations. Cherise and I extend our condolences to his wife Theresa and his entire family. Our hearts and prayers are with you in this time.”
