[Release] My Faith Votes: HHS Right to Defend Nurse Unknowingly Forced to Assist Abortion

Aug. 30, 2019

DALLAS — Jason Yates, CEO of My Faith Votes, issues the following statement applauding the Trump Administration’s support of the Church Amendment in the case against the University of Vermont Medical Center:

“More than half a dozen presidential administrations have come and gone before the Church Amendments were finally invoked and enforced to defend a medical practitioner’s religious convictions. That it has taken this long should remind us of how important it is to defend religious liberty in America. We are grateful the Trump administration is standing for religious liberty and giving this case the national attention it deserves. This is a victory not only for the unborn and their defenders in the medical field but for religious liberty as a whole. No professional should ever be forced to choose between career and conviction.”
