|DALLAS — My Faith Votes, a nonpartisan movement that motivates, equips and activates Christians in America to participate in elections, announced that Lt. Col. Allen West (Ret.) will serve as spokesperson.
“It’s fitting that a nationally influential organization like MFV is joining with a national influential figure such as Lt. Col. Allen West,” said Jason Yates, CEO of My Faith Votes. “Lt. Col. West is a genuine believer and conservative whose reputation in the public square is ubiquitous. He has always put his faith at the heart of his public service. We are honored that he would choose to give his valuable time to My Faith Votes to see a historic turnout of Christians in every election in every community.”
After serving in the U.S. Army for 22 years, Lt. Col. West, a highly decorated combat veteran, became the first black Republican Congressmen to represent Florida in over a century.
“This is not a position I take lightly. Voting is a privilege and a blessing that every Christian should enjoy,” said Lt. Col. West. “Now I have the opportunity to share that blessing by empowering and equipping people of faith alongside My Faith Votes, an initiative that is vital to the health of the church and the country.”
My Faith Votes seeks to equip Christians with the resources necessary for encouraging and mobilizing congregations to vote according to their values.
