[Release] My Faith Votes Stands with Christian Baker Jack Phillips in Supreme Court Case

Dec. 5, 2017

DALLAS — Jason Yates, CEO of My Faith Votes, releases the following statement in support of Jack Phillips, the Christian baker from Colorado who is pleading his First Amendment rights before the Supreme Court this week.

“Jack Phillips has lost over half of his business revenue, has been forced to let employees go and give up his passion and has been publicly humiliated and threatened simply because he acted on his sincerely held beliefs. The fact that his plight has made it all the way to the Supreme Court should concern all Americans who cherish their First Amendment rights. No Christian in America should have to apologize to the government for his faith. The outcome of this case will set a critical precedent for religious liberty in America. My Faith Votes stands in solidarity with Jack Phillips and his legal team as they plead his case before the highest court of our land because of our firm commitment to protecting the First Amendment and religious liberty. Our government has failed him, and now the Supreme Court has the opportunity to rectify a grave miscarriage of justice against man who simply exercised his First Amendment right.”
