DALLAS — In the spirit of Memorial Day, Prestonwood Baptist Church will honor our nation’s veterans and active military personnel with its annual Serving Our Heroes celebration on Thursday, May 24.
Veterans and current military personnel, along with their families and friends, are invited to a free luncheon at the church’s Plano Campus. Guests will hear from former Navy SEAL Chad Williams, who served tours of duty in the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Iraq. Williams is the author of “SEAL of God,” a memoir on his faith in Jesus and his journey to become a Navy SEAL.
“Our nation’s military has been and continues to be the backbone of this country. We owe so much of our freedom to them and the daily sacrifices they make. Although we will never be able to repay them for all that they do, we can show our veterans, active duty members and their families our respect and appreciation for their service,” said Jack Graham, pastor of Prestonwood Baptist Church.
