MINNEAPOLIS — Beth Moore, Bob Goff, Francis Chan, David Platt, Kari Jobe, Sadie Robertson and Ann Voskamp, plus others, will join Leader Check-In this Wednesday, announced the millennial-led evangelism movement PULSE.
The 10-hour live event, hosted by PULSE and Year of the Bible, is an initiative to encourage pastors and ministry leaders ahead of Easter weekend. The event already features some of the most prominent American pastors, artists, influencers and leaders, including Matt Chandler, Priscilla Shirer, John Gray, Lecrae, Michael W. Smith, Rev. Samuel Rodriguez, Tony Dungy, Dr. John Townsend, Walter Kim and more.
Sen. Tim Scott, Sen. James Lankford and VADM Jerome M. Adams, M.D., M.P.H. will also participate and deliver special remarks about the COVID-19 crisis.
“Easter 2020 may be the most important Easter celebration in the past century,” said PULSE founder Nick Hall. “We are living through an unprecedented time in church history. People are looking for hope and turning to churches in record numbers. I believe the message of a God who not only suffers with us and for us—but also defeats sin and death—has never been more needed. We will miss this moment if we don’t care for our pastors and ministers now. Leaders are pouring themselves out to encourage their congregations during this global crisis. They are weary and need encouragement as well.”
Leader Check-In also also will be an opportunity to respond to needs of churches and individuals who are experiencing economic hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
PULSE is partnering with the Churches Helping Churches campaign to raise funds for churches who are at risk of closing down because of the stay-at-home and lockdown orders across the nation. The campaign estimates at least 10% of churches in America, mostly from immigrant and minority communities, face this risk. To learn more, visit: https://www.churchrelief.org/.
PULSE is also partnering with Christian humanitarian aid organization World Vision. World Vision is working in the U.S. and abroad to help the most vulnerable and those on the front lines with hygiene supplies, training and protective equipment. They will give viewers an opportunity to hear about the challenges of those impacted most by the COVID-19 pandemic and how to help. To learn more, visit www.worldvision.org.
Leader Check-In will be available to watch for free at LeaderCheckIn.com and through PULSE’s Facebook page on Wednesday, April 8, from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. CST.
