PLANO, Texas — Dr. Jack Graham, pastor of Prestonwood Baptist Church, releases this statement in support of Jack Phillips, the Christian baker from Colorado whose prosecution for refusing to make a wedding cake for a homosexual couple has been taken up by the Supreme Court:
“The only thing Jack Phillips is guilty of is being a good Christian. Yet he’s been vilified, bullied and punished for standing for his faith, even though he should’ve been protected by the first freedom enshrined in our Constitution. Let’s pray for a righteous judgment from the Supreme Court as our justices hear his plea — their decision will likely determine what religious liberty looks like in America for generations to come.”
Dr. Jack Graham is the pastor of Prestonwood Baptist Church, one of the largest and fastest growing churches in America. He is also a noted author, and his PowerPoint Ministries broadcasts are available in 92 countries and are heard daily in more than 740 cities. He has served as president of the Southern Baptist Convention and the honorary chairman of the 2015 National Day of Prayer.
