HYDERABAD, India — The Most Rev. Dr. Joseph D’Souza, moderating bishop of the Good Shepherd Church of India and president of the All India Christian Council, releases the following statement on the news that a car crash killed 16 Indian Christians and injured 50 more:
“On behalf of the Good Shepherd Church, I send my condolences and prayers to the relatives of the victims and to all those affected by this tragic accident. You are our family, and as such we hurt with you during this time. As the Scriptures call us to do, we mourn with those who mourn, and grieve with those who grieve. May our God, who comforts us in every affliction, strengthen and encourage your hearts.”
