[Statement] Dr. Ronnie Floyd Releases Statement on State of the Union

Jan. 31, 2018

SPRINGDALE, Ark. — Dr. Ronnie Floyd, president of the National Day of Prayer Task Force, releases the following statement commenting on President Trump’s State of the Union address:

“Whatever our political inclinations, religious beliefs or personal convictions, we can all agree there was something in this speech every American could celebrate. It laid down an optimistic vision for a better America, one we can reach if we lay down our differences and work together. In fact, this State of the Union called us to be exactly that: a union. My hope is our nation, especially our Congress, will take this call to heart. We are only as strong as we are united, and nowhere are we more united than when we acknowledge we are one Nation under God.
