Forest, VA — With the passing of Rev. Billy Graham, Dr. Tim Clinton, president of the American Association of Christian Counselors, issues the following statement:
“One could not even begin to count the number of lives touched as a result of the ministry of Billy Graham. Decade after decade he faithfully preached the gospel with graciousness and a compassionate heart, but never minced words about the urgency of our need for Jesus.
“I always admired his unswerving commitment to reaching souls for Christ. He never lost focus — not for a minute. He was not only a faithful minister, but a faithful husband and father, a man of tremendous integrity. Billy Graham didn’t simply preach the gospel, he lived it. He taught us what it means to let the power of the gospel into our lives and our relationships.
“The Graham family has been friends of mine for years, and the legacy of Rev. Graham lives on in the lives of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. I will be lifting all of them up in my prayers as they mourn the loss of such a devoted servant of our heavenly Father. The entire nation, the entire world grieves with you.”
