PLANO, Texas — Dr. Jack Graham, pastor of Prestonwood Baptist Church, issues the following statement on the 46th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, Jan. 22:
“It has been said that the ultimate measure of a society is how it treats its weakest members. If America were judged today by this measure, we would get a resounding failing grade. For 46 years we have allowed abortion to depreciate the value of human life in our nation to the point where terminating a pregnancy — and consequently a human being — takes no longer than a trip to the dentist. The fact that over 61 million babies have been aborted since Roe v. Wade should make us realize we have lost our moral compass. I pray America once again remembers the true value of human life: inherently worthy and infinitely precious in the eyes of the Creator.”
Dr. Jack Graham is the pastor of Prestonwood Baptist Church, one of the largest and fastest growing churches in America. He is also a noted author, and his PowerPoint Ministries broadcasts are available in 92 countries and are heard daily in more than 740 cities. He has served as president of the Southern Baptist Convention and the honorary chairman of the 2015 National Day of Prayer.
