[Statement] My Faith Votes Congratulates Neil Gorsuch as He Is Sworn In to the Supreme Court

Apr. 10, 2017

DALLAS, Texas — My Faith Votes, the non-partisan movement focused on motivating American Evangelicals to be active and involved citizens, releases the following statement congratulating the Supreme Court’s new member, Justice Judge Gorsuch:

“On behalf of My Faith Votes and the community of American Evangelicals our movement represents, we offer our sincere congratulations to America’s new Supreme Court justice, Neil Gorsuch.. His nomination—and confirmation—was the most significant campaign promise of the 2016 election. As such, it represents a triumph for the many Evangelicals who based their vote on the future of the Supreme Court.

“The Bible instructs us to pray for ‘all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness’ (1 Timothy 2:2). We therefore commit to pray for Justice Gorsuch as he sits in the Highest Court of our Land. May he serve the American people wisely, with justice and equity toward all.”
