DALLAS — Jason Yates, CEO of My Faith Votes, issues the following statement:
“President Trump’s address tonight called Americans to many things: unity, compromise, to honor the past and treasure the promise of the future. But the most important words from the president came as an earnest plea to Congress to pass legislation banning late-term abortions. This could not be more necessary. We cannot allow laws like those passed recently in New York and attempted in Virginia to define how America values life. People of faith agree with President Trump that ‘all children, born and unborn, are made in the holy image of God,’ and that defending the dignity of every person is part of what it means to be ‘one nation, under God.’”
