[Statement] My Faith Votes Receives 4,750 Birthday Cards for President Trump

Jun. 14, 2019

DALLAS — Jason Yates, CEO of My Faith Votes, issues the following statement in response to the outpouring of good wishes extended by My Faith Votes supporters on the occasion of President Trump’s 73rd birthday:

“The Bible commands Christians ‘to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity’ (1 Timothy 2:1, 2).

“In that spirit, and on the occasion of President Trump’s 73rd birthday, we asked our supporters to send us birthday cards for him that we, in turn, would deliver to the White House.

“I am glad to report that we’ve already received 4,750 cards which we will soon deliver to the president. This kind of supporter engagement has been one of the hallmarks of My Faith Votes. This is a movement of Christians who refuse to sit on the sidelines and will be vitally important in the 2020 national elections.”
