[Statement] My Faith Votes: Unity Starts With Prayer

May. 3, 2018

DALLAS — Jason Yates, CEO of My Faith Votes, releases the following statement:

“Today, on this National Day of Prayer, I join millions of people of faith across the nation to pray for unity. Let us ask God to apply a healing salve to the wounds caused by division and discord. We must pray for fresh eyes to stop seeing each other only through the lens of our political opinions, and for the grace to start loving each other as neighbors. There is greater strength in the unity of one American family than there ever will be in the complete dominance of one political party over another.

“We have got to find our way back to being the UNITED States of America. There are myriad ways back to unity, but there’s only one place to start — prayer.”
