SACRAMENTO, Calif. — With the passing of Jesse Miranda, the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference issues the following tribute:
“The Chairman Emeritus of the NHCLC, our mentor, leader, predecessor, covering, and friend, Jesse Miranda passed away. The “Godfather” of the Hispanic/Latino Evangelical movement changed the world.
The founder of the Latino Evangelical Alliance, later to morph and reemerge as the NHCLC, led the way in providing holistic national leadership to the emerging demographic of Hispanic/Latino Christ followers.
His commitment to Christ, real. His prophetic voice, renewing. His love for the marginalized, relentless.
On behalf of the NHCLC family, we express our condolences to the entire Miranda family. We love you Bro. Jesse. You changed our lives.”
