GAINESVILLE, Ga. — Jentezen Franklin, senior pastor of Free Chapel, releases the following statement calling for the U.S. Senate to confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court:
“One of the deciding factors for many Americans in voting for Donald Trump was his promise to nominate fair, originalist judges to the U.S. court system. He has already followed through on this promise before, and yet again, by nominating Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court, the president is keeping his word.
Throughout his career, Judge Kavanaugh has proven his ability to interpret the law as written, adhere to our God-given rights outlined in the U.S. Constitution, and refrain from using his authority to legislate from the bench. He is a principled and consistent judge and America desperately needs more like him on the Supreme Court.
With the consequences of the past election in full effect, it is the responsibility of every senator to give Judge Kavanaugh a fair hearing, move his nomination to a vote, and not delay the process. He is a nominee that perfectly reflects the will of the voters. I pray he is quickly confirmed and can get to work on our behalf.”
