RIVERSIDE, Calif. — Pastor, founder of Harvest America, evangelist, and nationally syndicated radio host Greg Laurie issues the following statement in honor of Billy Graham’s 99th Birthday which is today, Tuesday, Nov. 7th 2017:
“Today is the 99th birthday of Billy Graham! It’s not often that you can say that a single life changed the world, but in the case of William Franklin Graham, it is more than true. Born in Charlotte, North Carolina young ‘Billy Frank’ as he was called, was raised on a farm and milked cows early in the morning. How could he have ever known that after his commitment to Christ he would become the greatest evangelist that ever lived?
“It has been my true honor to know Billy personally since 1985. I have served on his Board of Directors for over 20 years, and I have had the privilege to spend time with him and I can tell you the private Billy is not different than the public one. In fact, Billy Graham is the most godly man I have ever met. Today, he spends his last earthly days in his mountain-top home built by his beloved wife, Ruth who has been in Heaven for a decade now. His son, Franklin said of Billy today, ‘As a family, we are just so very grateful that he is still with us. His mind is good but he’s quieter these days. He can’t see or hear well, but his health is stable.’
“So, let’s celebrate the life of this man of God today. Happy Birthday, Billy Graham!”
