GAINESVILLE, Ga. — In response to the Georgia General Assembly sending a ‘Heartbeat’ bill to Governor Kemp’s desk for his signature, Pastor Jentezen Franklin issues the following statement:
“The State House and Senate in Georgia have embraced the truth we have always known, that abortion stops a beating heart. I’m encouraged that today our state has passed a heartbeat bill, preventing innocent children from having their lives cut short by an abortion lobby that’s grown increasingly determined to deny unborn children a chance in this world. Every day, more and more Americans are recognizing life is sacred—every life, at every stage. This bill puts us one step closer to acknowledging the right to life as the most basic of all human rights.
With this encouraging news now comes great responsibility. The responsibility is up to us, as the church, to do more than we ever have to support every mother carrying a child. We have to be the first in line to help them however we can, as their most loyal support network, their fiercest advocate. I’m calling on every Christian leader and every church member to rise to this challenge today.”
