His belief in the power and importance of the Hispanic Christian constituency in American quite literally helped shape the NHCLC into the organization it is today. In a world filled with pundits, Sen. John McCain was a rare, principled politician whose steel will was only matched by the type of patriotism hewn in a POW’s cell. He was one of a kind and he merited the honor ‘hero,’ if anyone ever has. Indeed, we at the NHCLC, along with all Americans, owe Sen. McCain our fullest measure of respect and gratitude for a lifetime of service to this nation.”
