REV. SAMUEL RODRIGUEZ SAYS LATINOS CAN NOT AND WILL NOT SUPPORT LATE TERM ABORTIONS

“Sec. Hillary Clinton is asking us to sacrifice our most cherished values. She is asking us to defy our faith.”

– Rev. Samuel Rodriguez

SACRAMENTO, CA – In response to statements made by Sec. Clinton during the third and final Presidential Debate, Rev. Samuel Rodriguez issues the following statement:

“In recent weeks, there have been various attempts to characterize my personal position on the 2016 presidential election. Some quotes attributed to me have been gross mischaracterizations and others have been incomplete. So, I thought I would clarify my personal conviction especially in light of the third presidential debate within which Sec. Clinton refused to publicly and fully disavow any present or previous support she has offered for late term abortions.

Donald Trump speaks of building a wall but Hillary Clinton has already built one. The Democratic candidate’s abortion stance — which includes late term abortions and her constant advocacy of Planned Parenthood in addition to her party’s commitment to help fund abortion around the world — serves as a greater wall than any rhetorical, hypothetical or physical wall.

Latinos believe in the sacredness of life both in and out of the womb. We believe in the sacredness of life for the immigrant who flees to America for protection or opportunity.  We especially believe in the sacredness of the unborn child because they are society’s most vulnerable citizens.

Latinos are pro-life. Latinos, whether they be Evangelical or Catholic, must never sacrifice truth on the altar of political expediency. By asking for our support, Sec. Clinton is asking us to sacrifice our most cherished values. She is asking us to defy our faith.  She is asking us to sacrifice the sacred.

We will not.  We can not.”
